Would you mind doing the update one more time. A log with curl debug output
would be helpful, as I can not reproduce this here. Please execute:

> ZYPP_LOGFILE=/tmp/zypp.1060868.log  ZYPP_MEDIA_CURL_DEBUG=2  zypper refresh

once with the working zypper/libzypp and 
once with the failing versions installed.

Then attach /tmp/zypp.1060868.log to this bug.
