My network seems to work flawlessly. However, I am sitting behind a proxy. When checking the logs I get every other time: Nov 21 08:46:52 PC-JURZITZA7 NetworkManager[1304]: <info> connectivity: check for uri 'http://conncheck.opensuse.org' failed with 'Could not connect: Socket I/O timed out' even though curl -I http://conncheck.opensuse.org works (apparently) as expected: fred@PC-JURZITZA7:/etc/NetworkManager> curl -I http://concheck.opensuse.org HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found Date: Mon, 21 Nov 2016 07:50:35 GMT Content-Type: text/html Content-Length: 1226 Could it probably be that the software performing those checks does not honor the proxy settings appropriately? Thank you for looking into this, take care Dieter Jurzitza
