Comment # 13 on bug 917148 from Thomas Wagner

I think I found the missing options:

General setup  --->
    [*] Configure standard kernel features (expert users)  --->
        [*] Enable signalfd() system call

CONFIG_FHANDLE=y

At least with these changes my kernel boots without any delay.
