I think it does not because I just noticed it for the first time while I was using it browsing the web. It disconnected while data was transferred. I noticed it on a second laptop too.
And the second laptop has the same wireless card?
Now the issue is not the disconnect but the fact that it does not re-connect. If a solution cannot be found I would suggest to add a "repair" option to the nm-applet icon tray (similar to windows) or our users will not be able the handle this.
