Comment # 4 on bug 938402 from Jon Brightwell

I'd come across this bug also (relaunching clears domain but host is present) -
and found same or similar bugs in apache (servername input in main and vhosts)
and hostname yast2 modules (TUI). I'm wondering if there's an underlying FQDN
parsing issue?
