That's because these releases use different input-method-frameworks.
if you only use 1 or 2 input-methods, you can not see it appears, but it indeed
works.

openSUSE wants to keep the maximum capability, so the western areas use Xim,
and Asia areas use FCITX, SLE are using IBUS. that's why they are so different
to serve so many user habits. I hope these matters can be unified in future.

Another suggestion is that bug didn't have an assignee, that why the fix-work
so negative. I think you can assign to M17N team next time. If you don't know
the problem on which team's fire scope, just ask Dominique Leuenberger.
