Here is the output: rpm -qi os-prober Name : os-prober Version : 1.61 Release : 13.1 Architecture: x86_64 Install Date: Sat 07 Nov 2015 06:34:58 AM EST Group : System/Boot Size : 97039 License : GPL-2.0+ Signature : RSA/SHA256, Wed 30 Sep 2015 06:53:15 AM EDT, Key ID b88b2fd43dbdc284 Source RPM : os-prober-1.61-13.1.src.rpm Build Date : Wed 30 Sep 2015 06:52:35 AM EDT Build Host : cloud119 Relocations : (not relocatable) Packager : http://bugs.opensuse.org Vendor : openSUSE URL : http://kitenet.net/~joey/code/os-prober/ Summary : Probes disks on the system for installed operating systems Description : This package detects other OSes available on a system and outputs the results in a generic machine-readable format. Support for new OSes and Linux distributions can be added easily. Distribution: openSUSE Leap 42.1 As to the other output, there will be confusion. I ran the commands and got "2" for a result. When I first installed the ssd, I had trouble getting the bios to recognize it. I switched cables, hoping it was a connector problem. I did get it recognized but within a week or two, the ssd failed and I had to get it replaced. When I reinstalled it, something I did caused the bios to read the ssd as drive 0 and the old hdd as drive 2. Both drives are working fine, so I did not try to correct this to drive 0 and drive 1. I have no idea how to do that anyway!
