That would be pretty bad news. No, it should work on 42.2 just fine. I just tried it on my vanilla 42.2 Beta installation. I just logged in as root and non-root, ran "vncserver", gave it a password and connected to it with krdc and tigervnc. KDE started successfully in every try. I'll update to RC2 and update here if I can reproduce. I can't actually tell what's going wrong here, the cause seems to be this: > XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":1" > after 115 requests (115 known processed) with 0 events remaining. which causes the X connection to kdeinit to break, shutting down everything.
