I have a Clevo laptop with both nvidia and intel graphics. Output from inxi -G
follows:

API: OpenGL v: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 550.127.05 renderer: NVIDIA GeForce RTX

This bug is new in openSUSE 15.6. When using the nvidia graphics the "wait
pointer" spins at such a rate that it is a blur and plasmashell consumes 100%
CPU as reported by top. This does not happen with intel graphics active.

This is not a problem normally but on certain networks Network Manager's
"Checking further connectivity" can last 10 minutes or so, with the circulating
indicator spinning madly around the taskbar icon for Network Manager.

Another manifestation of the problem is visible after logging in and before the
desktop is displayed the "cog" indicator is a blur or appears to run backwards
and then disappears and there is no indication of system activity except via
the HDD activity light.

Thanks
John
