Stumbled upon this today. > BitTorrent v2 was designed to be backwards compatible with v1 so that hybrid torrents can co-exist, but Transmission is failing to do that because of a Transmission bug that fails to parse bencoded data when a dictionary key is an empty string See https://github.com/transmission/transmission/issues/1813
