I sometimes use IceWM for desktop tasks, when I think KDE is to complicated or clumsy for the work to do. In order to be able to leave the computer unattended without having to close all programs and log out, I need the possibility to lock the screen. In IceWM there is a possibility in the taskbar ("Abmelden ... > Arbeitsplatz sperren"), however it seems that it is not properly configured. System: Desktop PC with NVIDIA graphics card and one monitor. OpenSuSE 13.2, default installation using Yast, settings to german > rpm -q -a|grep -i icew iceWMCP-addons-3.2-143.1.2.noarch icewm-default-1.3.8-3.1.8.x86_64 iceWMCP-3.2-143.1.2.noarch icewm-lite-1.3.8-3.1.8.x86_64 icewm-1.3.8-3.1.8.x86_64 No manual configuration was done with respect to IceWM > printenv | grep -i ice DESKTOP_SESSION=icewm WINDOWMANAGER=/usr/bin/icewm-session Steps to reproduce: 1) Log in with KDM, setting to IceWM 2) Click on the left button of the taskbar 3) Select "Abmelden ... > Arbeitsplatz sperren" 4) no obvious result, anything is acessible. 5) expected result: blank screen or anything else with a dialog prompting for the password.
