I tried editing / adding hide users under Windows with Winword and I tried also the simple Windows editor. Same result. I even opened a new file and typed the whole contents of sddm.conf again. Same result. I ran dos2unix on those files. Still same results. Might this be sddm itself not the sddm.conf or what could possibly cause this?
