I believe Kernel:stable is for Tumbleweed only, so I used the Backports
repository instead:

https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/stable:/Backport/standard/

In there I found kernel-default-5.14.15, which I installed, and out comes:

That clearly looks better, but there's no message that ECC is enabled, so I'm
not sure it works quite right.

The Ryzen 9 3900X paired with the same memory constellation produced this
