Interesting - the python-keyring from Tumbleweed doesn't ship this file.
Can you create the file
/home/<username>/.local/share/python_keyring/keyringrc.cfg
with the following content:

[backend]
default-keyring = keyring.backends.kwallet.DBusKeyring

and try it again?
