I didn't run the 5.8.3 kernel. The last working kernel is
5.8.2-1-default for me.
One thing I thing I noticed in the logs was (while trying
to get a bootable system):

IIRC, the above boot attempt failed a different place. I wouldn't
give the above log message to much weight. It looks like
a different problem to me.
