Comment # 3 on bug 999099 from Christian Lorch

last days I installed new Leap 15.0 and I experienced the same behaviour!
working TB from command line or Alt-F2, but no Icon in KDE start menu.

/ was formatted but not /home.

After some reboots and re-login in different users I decided to add thunderbird
manually which worked. Shortly later the "official" entry appeared so i had i
twice in the "Internet" and Favorites section.

No big problem but irritating :-)
