I am ready to take responsibility if I know what's the worst that could happen.
Perhaps, Dominique would like to weigh in on this, and I am ok with whatever
you guys decide.

My opinion is that GNOME on openSUSE 13.2 on an HiDPI is unusable, so it is
more than just an eye-candy enhancement... but I have the fix for my purpose
and it does not look like anyone else is complaining, so...
