Okay, here are my use cases:

1) I have a dlan network with a different gateway
2) I have a vpn server, that runs independent from default gateway.

The easiest way to setup such things is an additional static route - both are
completely independent from DHCP setting, and should not interfere with it.

Sure, I can use dhcp settings nowadays, but this setup is working since way
more than 10 years using various suse distributions, and I cannot see a reason
for the necessity to break it.
