Ludwig, the existing SLES release note [1] warns to decrypt encrypted home directories before the upgrade. I didn't investigate much at the time that release note came in -- but the discussion in bug 1095657 makes this sound like rather less of a concern. Is there a compelling reason to actually perform such a decryption? I.e. missing graphical login manager integration of LUKS or similar. (Nevertheless, I will just re-use the SLE note for the moment, better than nothing. But I'll keep this open.) [1] https://www.suse.com/releasenotes/x86_64/SUSE-SLES/15/#fate-323541
