I also observe this behavior on Tumbleweed. Doing a echo 0 >
/proc/sys/dev/cdrom/autoclose prevents the autoclose.

Interestingly, I had the same problem back in 2011 (I just had a look at my
notes, since that behavior indeed rang a bell.)
