Comment # 4 on bug 1050667 from Steffen Winterfeldt

When your're booting with UEFI, at the boot screen, press 'e' to edit the boot
entry. Go to the 'linuxefi' line and at the end append

nomodeset plymouth=0

Then continue to boot with F10.
