I've been having the same issue on a Lenovo T14s with a Thinkpad USB-C Dock Gen
2 and I confirm that after upgrading the firmware the issue was also resolved
for me.

Unfortunately. fwupdmgr was not able to upgrade the firmware itself and I had
to rely on a Windows machine to upgrade it by using [1]
