changed the name, because it is not plasmashell, it is the launcher that is the
problem.

there are 3 choices in KDE leap 42.3:

Dashboard,
Launcher,
Menu.

Menu is the one chosen by default, and is the one with the problem.

It hangs, or looses track of focus, or whatever.

Apps visible are still selectable and usable
taskmanager widget stops working as well.

Alt - tab and Alt-shift-tab still works.

I have been using Dashboard now for 1 or 2 months, did not get stuck one single
time.

now we know what to fix. g/l
