I installed Apache + PHP from SLES10 on a openSUSE 10.2 due a version requirement,
huh ??, can you elaborate what that means and how is suppossed to work ?
I had to install older RPM's than the ones provided by openSUSE 10.2 (customer requirement) their platform won't run on PHP 5.2.
New versions of Apache and PHP keep showing up on the update software applet because openSUSE 10.2 versions are higher.
Yes, expected.
Protecting the packages will not work, after protecting and applying the changes the package status reverts to "installed" without the lock option.
