I think the issue is rather QEMU specific... it does not give the entire 1024M to the system I have seen two values pop up for the kernel - one giving the warning, the other one passing (likely some rounding) [ 0.000000] Memory: 922592K/1048012K available This one gives the popup => 0.99946M [ 0.000000] Memory: 922616K/1048036K available This one gives no popup => 0.99948M There are not more online repos enabled than when the user does not enter this dialog: the standard repos are in any case always on. Increasing the memory 'just for that' sounds like a workaround. In plus: the memory requirements for openSUSE are, according to the wiki, still 1GB minimum.
