'failsafe' boots fine Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kkaempf@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development Blocker: --- After 'zypper dup" from M3 to M5, the kernel fails to boot. It hangs at "doing fast boot". Choosing "failsafe" boot is fine. Testing failsafe kernel options now. Removing "nomodeset" still boots, so modesetting is not the culprit. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
