I'm using a Lenovo ThinkPad X220 notebook with integrated wan UMTS module and a SIM card. Distribution is: openSUSE 13.2 x86_64 When entering the pin for my wan/UMTS/mobile-broadband/sim-card plasma-nm needs root permissions. I shouldn't need to give the root password to the user of a notebook, to use mobile-broadband! This user isn't necessarily the administrator of the device.
