Here's an update.
A couple of weeks ago I freshly installed Leap 15.6 and so far, the gpu crashes
have disappeared.

I'm using the stock kernel, applied all updates etc.

So far, everything works fine and stable, I didn't install any later kernel or
Mesa package.
For me, the problem seems to be resolved (by moving on to Leap 15.6).
