 * Therefore, the issue around converting the existing Type 1 fonts to
   OpenType is, IMHO, a commercial issue and not, an open source issue.

Therefore, whether or not LibreOffice users choose to convert their existing
Type 1 font collections to OpenType, or not, is a purely personal, commercial,
decision (IMHO).

Please note that, Adobe had converted their entire (commercial) font library to
OpenType by the end of the year 2002.

Currently, font foundries tend to offer OpenType as the "normal" format and,
the commercial print industry has, AFAIK, also mostly migrated from Postscript
to OpenType . . .

Therefore, the purpose of this Change Request is to, simply, make the world
aware of the change LibreOffice has made and, to trigger those folks who have
not, yet, migrated their purchased fonts from Postscript to OpenType, to do so
. . .
