Unfortunately it's going to be hard to find out what was going on if we are not
able to reproduce.

I'm afraid that trying to do so with the debug logs enabled will change the
timings and will prevent the crash to happen.

The only idea I have currently would be to reproduce with the kernel coredump
handling enabled (echo core >/proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern).
