Could be the same issue that I found. Gimp segfaults when you perform one of the following sequences: - New image - Select text tool, write some text into the image - Press ESC, then press DEL to erase the text -> Segfault - New image - Select text tool, write some text - Select Filters -> Light and Shadow -> Drop shadow - Click OK in the dialog window -> Segfault
