I have now successfully tested the broadcom-wl driver with any usage of the
last_rx field disabled on the following platforms/distributions:

  - openSUSE_Leap_42.2: 4.10.12-2.1.g11b3f7c
  - openSUSE_Leap_42.2: 4.4.57-18.3.1
  - openSUSE_Leap_42.1: 4.10.12-2.1.g11b3f7c
  - openSUSE_Leap_42.1: 4.1.39-53.1

And, I have compile-tested it on the 42.3 kernel, so I assume this issue can be
closed as WORKSFORME.
