hmm, I cannot reproduce your problem. I see the "Others" (german version:
Sonstiges) category in both ways. Maybe you use a problematic xfce- or
gtk-theme or some special .desktop file is breaking the parser.
Maybe any output on ~/.xsession-errors or "journalctl -b"?
