The problem of black screen in u-boot is due to this commit: https://source.denx.de/u-boot/u-boot/-/commit/76c2ff3e5fd8068b433acbb0e76d33fa5116dade A revert of this commit has been pushed to branch tumbleweed-2021.10 for Tumbleweed, and to branch tumbleweed-2021.01 for Leap 15.3. Upstream has been made aware of this problem: https://lists.denx.de/pipermail/u-boot/2021-October/464372.html The problem of black screen in Linux is still to be investigated and may be related to a missing kernel driver in the initrd, since older Tumbleweed updated to latest snapshot still works properly.
