Oh, so this is another case of "can't create transaction lock on
/var/lib.rmp/.rpm.lock"

There are at least three user reporting problems around that. Which makes this
a dupicate of bug#1124911

As already pointed from the very beginning, I don't think this has never been a
problem removing the partition or a problem related to UEFI. It seems to be
something more general producing installer crashes.
