With Nvidia 525.105.17 
What is working:
suspend and resume with attached monitor
suspend and resume with NO attached monitor
switch off and on the monitor
unplug and replug the monitor cable (display port)

Corner case:
Close the notebook lid
unplug the AC cable
wait the system for suspend
unplug the external monitor
open the lid
the system will wake up I suppose as I can hear the fan running, but the screen
will remain off, plugging in the external monitor does nothing, I need to hard
power off.
