This is indeed correct and I don't think this behaviour has been there before. We do set 'export DISABLE_RESTART_ON_UPDATE=yes' as this this issue has been fixed with bsc#886641 already and I don't see any changes in xdm recently which may have broken this. So maybe there is an issue with the %postun macro?
