Comment # 15 on bug 905034 from Per Jessen

I'm guessing that the scanner was somehow put in an odd state, perhaps because
it's been used from the working desktop over the weekend, so I did the
following

powered the scanner off/on

scanimage --mode color --resolution 300 >office12-300dpi-2.pnm 
(scan worked, colours distorted)

scanimage --mode color --resolution 150 >office12-image150-3.pnm
(scan worked, colours are fine)

strace etc. scanimage --mode color --resolution 300 >office12-300dpi-3.pnm 
(scan worked, colours distorted)

I can attach the last strace if you want.
