Thank you for clarifying as well as the temporary fix. It does sound like this should remain open in that case. If anyone else can replicate this, please reply and let us know: Someone posed in the forum about experiencing a plymouth crash, although for them it's only an error shown in the logs and does not freeze the boot process I understand.
