Hm, haven't you yourself stated that your problems are fixed, except for the
VLC one?

At least that's how I (and probably the other commenters too) read your
comment#8:

So what exactly is your problem now?

It is definitely not a KDE problem then and we should reassign it again, I'd
say.
Xorg maybe?

Does uninstalling libvdpau-va-gl1 help? This seems to have caused problems for
other users in the past.
