I may need a bit of guidance for how to apply the experimental kernel.

I'm happy to try it out once, but if it somehow doesn't work, how do I
prevent my computer from going bad? Is there a try-once-and-automatically
revert approach?

Also, how do I get from

to a live, booted kernel on my laptop?
