At present, There is no intention to be providing any additional software on
firstboot.   At the moment Firefox will open images and pdf's just fine, should
a user need to do so.

This is something that may, and probably will be revisited in the future, but
for now, I won't be adding them.

I am leaving the bug open, just for tracking purposes, and to remind myself to
revisit the issue at a later date.
