This bug also appears on OpenSuSE 13.2 (not on leap42). Create a user account like this: otto:x:25000107:25000000:local testaccout:/opt/home/otto:/bin/bash KDM will crash after login and will refuses to start a Session (no .xsession-errors appearing). Changing the UID to 34000107 (group-ID to 34000000). Login is possible. This problem appears using kdm and xdm. Termin based login and login using gdm is possible.
