chrome://gpu on Chromium / Qutebrowser
The Chromium package appears to have patches applied to enable hardware
accelerated video decoding. qtwebengine does not, so web browsers using this
library, like qutebrowser, do not have it enabled.
I've included screenshots of the feature status section of chrome://gpu on both
Chromium and qutebrowser installed from their respective openSUSE packages on
Tumbleweed 20181130. The "Video Decode" line under "Graphics Feature Status"
shows the difference.
Graphics card is "Intel Corporation UHD Graphics 620 (rev 07)" using the i915
kernel driver.
