Meanwhile, a lot has happened. Tumbleweed is shipping kernel 4.15, Mesa is
about to release version 18.0, and much more. Most likely the issue was fixed,
it didn't happen again, or it wasn't annoying enough.

please feel free to REOPEN. Until then, let's call this RESOLVED NORESPONSE so
this is off our list :)
