This started Monday, when I upgraded my workstation to 42.1.  I am not able to
run konsole over ssh.

What I have found that this is a 42.1 to 42.1 problem.  If I go from 13.1/13.2
to 42.1 konsole runs over ssh.  If I go from 42.1 to 13.1/13.2 konsole works
over ssh. But 42.1 to 42.1 the konsole gives a dbus error.  Just like in the
Gentoo forum konsole will launch if you use dbus-launch.

I use "ssh -Y root@Host konsole" when I need a root window on a remote
computer.
