Given TW20191012 with KDE Plasma 5.17 (via KDE/Frameworks5 repo) hplip-systray (hplip-3.19.6-2.1.x86_64) is always shown, although it is configured as "Hide when inactive". As a matter of fact, changing the behaviour of the system tray icon via the HP Device Manager does not have any effect at all. On top of that, the icon is frozen. Any idea?
