I am currently using kdepim version 24.08.1.  possibly upgrading to 24.08.2
tomorrow if released.

i have set up my kmail google email account up without problems, and also
contacts and calendars are working (ie retrieving data from google.

however, when i go to modify a contact, the changes made don't get saved on my
computer and my google account.

this issue has been ignored for too long.  it is time to fix it.  i will try my
best to get debugging information on this
