Yes, that would be two different bugs.

1) If you want to pursue this further, please boot with the card and switch
to console 4 (Alt-F4) before the freeze, so you can see the last kernel
messages. What does it say last?

2) That looks like the installer crashed. When it falls back to the text
screen, don't do anything (don't confirm any error message you might see
there!) but instead switch to console 2. There should be a shell still
running there. Run 'save_y2logs' and copy the logs to some place
you can later access them (e.g. mount some partition) and attach them
to this bug, please.
