I bet openSUSE 15.0 GM kernel won't work. It won't have any "newer" kernel as I suggested. The kernel in OBS Kernel:stable is for Tumbleweed, i.e. 4.16.x kernel right now. So, please test with that kernel (although I guess it won't work either) just to confirm whether the upstream kernel works or not. It's only for testing that, and you can remove it afterwards again.
